Heavy Equipment Operator
280 Hours / 9 Weeks
– 40 hrs. In-Class Theory
– 240 hrs. Hands-on Practical & Observation
Tractor Trailer AZ/DZ Driver
200 Hours / 8 Weeks

– 138 hrs. Hands-on Practical Driving
AZ with Construction Operator
480 Hours / 16 Weeks
– 102 hrs. In-Class Theory
– 378 hrs. Hands-on Practical & Observation
Tractor Trailer AZ M.E.L.T.
103.5 Hours / 4 Weeks
– 36.5 hrs. online Theory
– 50 hrs. Hands-on on & off road
– 17 hrs. in-yard, around vehicle

Heavy Equipment Operator
– OSSD Grade 12 or GED*
– 18 Years or Older or Consent of Parent/Legal Guardian
– Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
Tractor Trailer AZ/DZ Driver / M.E.L.T.
– 18 years of age or older
– Canadian Citizen/Permanent Resident
– OSSD Grade 12 or GED*
– Valid Class G License
– Driver’s Abstract
– Criminal Background Check (there is a cost associated)
-MTO Medical Must be completed to take to Drive Test Centre to write 2 tests listed below:
Knowledge Verification of Rules of the Road and Signs This test & the Air Brake test allows you to drive the tractor/trailer with a licensed instructor
Written Air Brake Test Completed and approved
AZ with Construction Operator
– 18 years of age or older
– Canadian Citizen/Permanent Resident
– OSSD Grade 12 or GED*
– Valid Class G License
– Driver’s Abstract
– Criminal Background Check (there is a cost associated)
– MTO Medical Must be completed to take to Drive Test Centre to write 2 tests listed below:
