Canada Heavy Equipment College (CHEC) provides high quality heavy equipment operator and truck driver training. Our ultimate goal is to create trained, employable professionals that can work safely and effectively.

Heavy Equipment Operator

This 9-week heavy equipment operator course includes both classroom and practical, hands-on training on 4 core pieces of equipment:

Motor Grader
Excavator
Tractor Loader Backhoe
Bulldozer

Tractor Trailer AZ/DZ Driver

This course is 212 hours, and will teach you how to become a safe truck driver. You will experience real day to day techniques that will make you a professional driver.

City & Highways Driving

AZ with Construction Operator

The combination of Transportation and Construction Operator program provides the maximum exposure to a variety of work opportunities and incomes.

4 core pieces of equipment: grader, backhoe, excavator, dozer
Classroom training and hands-on seat time
Safe operational and driving techniques
Preparation and vehicle maintenance procedures

Tractor Trailer AZ M.E.L.T.

This course is mandatory training for Class A driver’s license applicants and must be completed before taking your road test. Once you have completed the training, your driving record will be updated. If you meet all the other Class A requirements, you can take a Class A road test at a DriveTest Centre.

The training will be valid for life

Upon completion, you will receive a wallet card certificate and will gain the practical skills and experience you need to confidently enter the industry.

In-Demand Skills

Expect to develop the theoretical knowledge and practical competencies needed to stay safe and efficient on the job sites.

We assist our graduated students in finding employment, connecting them with job openings in the heavy equipment and trucking industries.

Safety Training

We provide safety training to all of our students to ensure that they are equipped to handle any situation that may arise on the job.

You may qualify for assistance to pay for tuition and expenses such as: Books, Living Expenses, Travel, and other living and training costs.
